Established in 1909, the Art Museum of Greater Lafayette houses an American art collection centered on the 19th and 20th centuries. The regional artists of Indiana are especially prominent, including such notables as potters Jeffrey Chappy and Laura Anne Fry, and painters Kathe Kollwitz and Misch Kohn. The museum rotates its exhibits, and has featured world-famous painters, sculptors and photographers, as well as artists working in other media. The museum lies downtown, southeast of Murdock Park and two blocks southwest of the Tippecanoe Public Library.
